" We first met Jan at the A Place in the Sun property show in London in May 2025, A week later, we met Simon in Alicante, where he spent several days showing us different areas and a wide range of new-build developments. From the very beginning, we explained that we were simply exploring different areas and wanted to get a feel for what each development had to offer. We were keen to avoid the usual sales pressure, but we really didn’t need to worry. There was absolutely no pressure or expectation that we would actually buy anything. Simon showed us countless developments across numerous areas over the course of a few days, always taking the time to answer our questions, show us around and share his knowledge, without ever making us feel rushed or pressured. Although we had no intention of buying on that particular trip, Simon took us to a show home that completely ticked all of our boxes. He had even managed to get us in before the site was officially launched to the public, which meant we were able to choose one of the best-positioned properties before they had even started digging the foundations! We were absolutely gutted to miss the opening party — the food looked amazing! Buying a property off-plan, particularly from abroad, can feel like a daunting prospect. From the very beginning, though, Simon and Jan were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, responsive and, most importantly, genuinely caring. They kept us informed at every stage, answered all of our questions (and there were countless!), sent us regular photos and videos of the progress, and always made us feel that we were in safe hands. What really stood out was their personal approach. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and they genuinely went above and beyond to make the whole process as smooth, straightforward and stress-free as possible. Their communication, attention to detail and commitment to us as clients have been exceptional. And the service doesn’t stop at completion. They have made it clear that they’re there to hold our hand through the entire journey. They’ve offered to recommend and take us to places for furniture and household items, suggested lovely restaurants (one of which we all even enjoyed together!), and have continued to make us feel supported every step of the way. We are absolutely thrilled with our new home and so excited to see everything come together. Looking back, we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience or for more supportive people to guide us through such a big decision. " We met Darren & Simon at A Place in the Sun Exhibition in London May 2026. They were very informative and helpful with the next steps for us buying a new property in Spain. We arranged to meet them in Guadamar del Segura where they took us to view several properties within our price range. It was a very easy experience and from the very start we felt very comfortable and at ease with them both and within 3 days they found us exactly what we wanted and within our budget. But what makes them even more exceptional is the after sales attention to detail, sorting out Solicitors, taking us to the Notaire Office even arranging a translator, and staying with us through the whole process of buying a home in Spain. We never felt alone through the whole experience of buying our new home they were always contactable and extremely helpful whenever we needed them and even now we are in our new home, they still contact us to ensure everything is ok. " Darren and Simon were very welcoming ,not only at the Place in the Sun exhibition at London’s Excel, but also when we decided to take the plunge and take them up own their offer of a viewing trip around the Alicante/Murcia area of Spain. Throughout our visit nothing was too much trouble and they listened to our wishes and concerns; adapting our itinerary according to what we liked and didn’t like when viewing. They met us at the airport, drove us to our hotel - which they paid for - and drove us around for 2 days looking at villas that they had chosen according to our requirements. As the visit went on, they tweaked viewings according to our remit so we saw some beautiful places but none of them ticked all the boxes. They were both friendly, generous and adaptable. As they’ve lived in Spain and worked in the sector for years, they have a good understanding of the intricacies of the housing market. Fluent in Spanish, both of them liaise well with builders and lawyers. They have great contacts and we felt safe in their hands. Both Darren and Simon understood what we were looking for; it’s just a pity that when we visited there wasn’t quite the right place for us. " Simon Buying In Spain: We met Simon and Jan 2 years ago after going to The Place in the Sun at Birmingham NEC. On our 1st visit to Spain Murcia where they had put us up in a nice hotel FOC which was very impressive. They showed us around for 3 days and on the 2nd day we found our dream home in La Manga. We signed all the necessary paperwork needed all went very smoothly . Now we return to Murcia 3 times a year. We have made friends for life and always go for a meal when in Murcia. " An invaluable help throughout our Spanish property purchase We can wholeheartedly recommend Buying In spain, and especially Darren, to anyone considering buying a property in Spain. From our very first contact with Darren, we found him to be incredibly patient, helpful and committed. He spent an entire week driving us around the area south of Alicante, showing us properties that closely matched our wishes and requirements. He took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for and was always there to guide us through the many questions and practical matters that naturally arise when buying a property in another country. This was incredibly reassuring and allowed us to follow the progress of our new home from Denmark. Darren also checked the property on our behalf and made sure that the keys to our new home were safely sent to us in Denmark. What impressed us most was Darren’s genuine commitment, availability and willingness to help – including with many things that go far beyond what you would normally expect from an estate agent.
